Table Description

Foster Care: This evidence captures details about a child who has been fostered by an adult Household Member.

Foster Care is temporary care for children who live away from their parents or guardians and for whom the State agency has placement and care responsibility.

One or more foster care payment records may be added to a Foster Care record to capture any assistance payments made in respect of a foster child living in the household.

Example

A case worker creates a Foster Care record for Jane Kelly who has been placed in the temporary care of Linda Smith. Linda Smith is considered Jane Kelly's foster parent.
